PELLET PLANTS

Pellets constitute cylindrically shaped compacted material, which is used for several different purposes, the main ones being heating, animal feed, animal bedding, fertilizer, etc. They can be used for processing various raw materials, and the main difference in the equipment is based on the moisture content of the raw material and the size of the input material. When we have a raw material with moisture content of more than 14%, it is necessary to plan to add a drying machine to the line. When the size of the pellet fraction is greater than the allowable, it is necessary to also plan to add the appropriate crushing equipment for preparation of the material.

Pellets for heating – the main dimensions are 6 and 8 mm in diameter and 10 to 30 mm in length. They are used in small fireplaces and boilers for domestic use, as well as in boilers for greenhouses, hotels, dairies, drying facilities, in the oil and wood industries, power plants for heat and electricity production, etc.

 Animal feed pellets  – depending on the different sizes and composition, they are used for different animals such as cows, calves, pigs, ducks, fish, etc. The main sizes for animals are 3, 4, 6 and 8 mm in diameter and 10 to 40 mm in length.

Bedding pellets – in recent years, they have been increasingly used as bedding for animals, especially horses and poultry. The size used is mostly 6 or 8 mm in diameter and 15 to 40 mm in length.

Fertilizer pellets – various materials can be compacted, they are residues of mixtures of natural manure with bedding, biofertilizer, dried substrate from water treatment plants. etc. Pellet size – 6 or 8 mm in diameter and 10 to 30 mm in length.
